Three breeds we know well
We deliberately keep to a small number of breeds so we understand them properly rather than superficially.
Still deciding?
Describe your home and we will point you at the right breed — including telling you if none of ours is a good fit.
Choosing between them
All three breeds share a calm, undemanding disposition — none of them is a highly strung cat. The practical differences come down to coat and, for Scottish Folds, a specific health consideration you should understand before deciding.
British Shorthair is the lowest maintenance: a dense, plush coat that needs a comb during seasonal moults and little else. British Longhair is the same cat in a semi-long coat, which needs combing twice a week. Scottish Fold has the gentlest temperament of the three, and folded ears that need a weekly check and clean.
