1. ABOUT THESE TERMS

These terms govern the use of this website and the adoption of a kitten from Purebreds Kittens. Placing a deposit means you accept them. A separate adoption contract is signed before your kitten travels; where the two differ, the signed contract takes precedence.

2. WHO CAN ADOPT

You must be at least 18 years old and adopting for yourself or your own household. We do not sell to pet shops, dealers or anyone intending to resell. We reserve the right to decline any application without giving a reason.

3. RESERVATIONS AND DEPOSITS

A $100 deposit reserves a kitten and is deducted from the total price. It is refunded in full if we cancel for any reason, or if a veterinary examination identifies a health problem before travel. It is not refunded if you change your mind, because we will have turned other families away in the meantime.

4. BALANCE AND PAYMENT

The balance is due at least 48 hours before travel or collection. We accept bank transfer, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and receipt every payment by email. We never request payment in gift cards or cryptocurrency — anyone claiming to be us and asking for either is not us.

5. COLLECTION AND TRAVEL

No kitten leaves before twelve weeks of age. Travel arrangements and costs are set out in our Travel & Delivery policy. If a kitten is not collected within 14 days of the agreed date without contact from you, we reserve the right to treat the reservation as cancelled and retain the deposit.

6. HEALTH

Every kitten is vet-checked, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped before travel, and is covered by our written one-year health guarantee. You agree to have your kitten examined by your own vet within 72 hours of collection. Full terms are in the Health Guarantee.

7. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide an indoor home, or secure outdoor access you control
  • Spay or neuter between four and six months and confirm it to us
  • Keep vaccinations and preventative care current
  • Keep the microchip registration details up to date
  • Never rehome, sell or give away your cat to a third party — contact us instead

8. RETURN TO BREEDER

If you can no longer keep your cat, at any age and for any reason, you agree to contact us first. We will take them back. This commitment does not expire and applies for your cat's whole life. Returns after the first 14 days are not refunded, but we would always rather have the cat back than have the money.

9. WEBSITE CONTENT

Photographs, text and design on this site belong to Purebreds Kittens and may not be reproduced without permission. We take particular exception to our kitten photographs being used in adoption scams; if you have seen them used elsewhere, please tell us.

10. LIABILITY

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, our liability in connection with an adoption is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
